TesTrac Joins ACT to Fight
Unemployment
Burnsville, Minn. – TesTrac.com,
Ltd is pleased to announce an agreement with ACT to support its WorkKeys®
program, an initiative to help states prepare unemployed citizens to enter
the workplace.
TesTrac Online’s role in this effort is to deploy its state-of-the-art,
customizable test delivery system to deliver a pre-diagnostic test that
indicates whether the job candidate is ready to enter the job market or
whether the state should fund additional training.
In the WorkKeys® program, a job analysis determines the skill levels
necessary to succeed in a particular job. The next step assesses the
potential employee’s current skill level. When the job requirements and
the employee’s skill set don’t match up, state training programs are
implemented to bring his or her skills up to the level necessary to do the
job. TesTrac Online’s security and administration features ensure privacy
and accuracy in the pre-diagnostic test, and their long list of available
languages ensures the program will have widespread impact.
“Matching people up with available jobs is critical,” said Doug Odell,
president of TesTrac. “And the only way people can succeed at a new job is
to have the appropriate skill set for that job.”
TesTrac first signed a Master Service Agreement with ACT a year ago; the
new effort of helping people find employment reflects a further deepening
and strengthening of their partnership.
